As I savored the dishes, I was particularly fond of the Saag Paneer described as rich yet light, and the Bone-in Goat Biryani, which had tender meat that fell off the bone. The flavors of the Mint and Yogurt Marinade in the Hariyanli Chicken were exceptionally refreshing!

“ A gem for Jndian food in Williamsburg! Every dish we got was super solid and at an affordable price. In order of preference, we tried the saag paneer, bone-in goat biryani, hariyanli chicken, bhel puri, and the rogan josh. The first three were standouts for me. The saag paneer was rich and creamy yet not heavy, the biryani had generous portions of goat that fell off the bone, and I really enjoyed the flavors of the mint and yogurt marinade in the chicken. Recommend giving them a try! ”
“ So the interior is very nice and has a good bit of room. I went for lunch and got the lunch special with the Bhangian Bharta. They gave me Chana saag in place of a salad, which was nice. The Chana saag was just spicy enough to be flavorful. The Bhangian Bharta is well done and flavorful, the rice is well done as well. The service was fast and considerate. Something to note is that I did not get served any papadam or chutney with the meal, which I found strange. ”
“ I was blind but now I see. Single greatest restaurant experience of my entire life. Best server ever. ”
“ Quality indian food with reasonable prices! Came here for quick bite on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty empty. They seem to have more takeout orders than dine-in but we still enjoyed our meal. They have a great lunch special so I will definitely be doing that in the future. We got the dahi batata sev puri as an app and it was really good! The paneer tikka masala and chicken tikka masala were both great and the naan was super fresh as well. Overall, a great place to order from or dine-in at to satisfy your indian food cravings! ”
“ Ordered only the Rasmalai form Masti for pickup. The order was quickly made and I picked it up. I enjoyed it at home after dinner. Delicious. ”
“ It's a medium sized restaurant with a good amount of seating. Nice ambiance. Servers are attentive and polite. The food was solid ! The menu was more unique than the classic Indian joint, which was what drew me in. They also had your classic staples as well. As an Indian, the food was good !! I thought the salt was a bit low, so I added some and bam it was just how I like it. Glad to have a nice neighborhood Indian spot like this ! Will definitely be coming back to try to other things on the menu ! :) ”
“ Been craving an old school favorite... Pani Puri. So stopped by, sat at the bar and gobbled down my order with a glass of cold water. The pani puri was great. Exactly what I wanted and expected. It's a simple dish but easy to screw up so good on Masti for doing it right. There was a good amount of filling in relation to the puri and enough pani to cover the whole dish. The bartender was really nice. Only nits- it was a hot Sunday afternoon and the AC was either off or too low and the pani was a bit sweet for my liking. That said I would come back again and do a full meal. ”
“ As an enthusiastic Indian Cuisine aficionado, I was excited to try Masti for the first time. Located in Williamsburg, Masti resembles a hole in the wall from the outside. Once you take a seat indoors, the atmosphere grows on you. The restaurant is just one dining room and it's BYOB so keep that in mind. I allowed my friend to make the selections. The server was very helpful answering my questions in the attempt to customize a healthier dinner. Have you seen When Harry Met Sally? I ordered like Sally or at least tried to because I like things the way I like it. We started with a very refreshing Masala Lemonade. This was not the sweet, typical, citrus variety. Rather, it had notes and elements that was all things Indian. So delicious. We received the complimentary Papadum while browsing the menu. The server stood by the table to answer all questions. The healthiest bread to order was The Roti. Done. My friend, however, threw in an order for Chilli Onion Nann which was undeniably good. The chutneys were a perfect match with the bread. The rest of the orders resembled the following: *Chicken Tikka--the boneless variety of Tandoori Chicken. Only thighs--succulent, flavorful and excellent *Chettinad Curry--indescribably delicious with a creamy sauce--a great marriage with the Basmati rice. *Lasoni Gobi--definitely not healthy, but my friend's pick and a delicious cheat. Tangy, fried and naughty in a good way. *Paneer Hariyanli Tikka--blew my socks off. I love paneer in general, and the way it was prepared was so good that I will order again when I return. Everything on the table was amazingly good. I'd say unlike some other Indian restaurants I'm used to dining at in the past. I really enjoyed Masti and definitely recommend. I'll be back. ”
“ My past experiences with Indian did leave a great impression on me. Not including curries, channa, and other West Indian "Indian " dishes that are childhood favorites, I don't know why I've neglected this cuisine. Fast forward to last night, and meeting up with a pre-pandemic staff member. I was feeling adventurous and asked her to select a restaurant. She selected Indian food at Masti. I arrived early and was seated by a very nice and friendly server. I knew of mango lassi, always wanted to try it and I loved it! Once my friend arrived, I looked over the menu and selected dishes based on the flavor profiles described, and the things that I know I like in general. Everything was a win! Saag paneer, samosas, Madras shrimp, the onion fritters were all delicious, as were the accompanying sauces. Now I must explore Indian cuisine further, and I know that Masti is an absolute go to. ”
